Work Adda — operated by Flitzen

Effective 22 September 2026 · Last updated 22 September 2026

Work Adda is a private, invite-only workplace tool. Accounts are created for employees of a business that subscribes to Work Adda. We do not sell data, we do not run advertising, and we never message people who are not members of a subscribing business workspace.

This Privacy Policy explains what information Flitzen ("we", "us") collects when you use Work Adda — the web application at work-adda.com and the companion Android and iOS apps — and how we use, share, store and protect it.

1. Who controls your data

Work Adda is provided to businesses. When your employer creates a workspace and adds you to it, your employer is the data controller for the records, tables and tasks in that workspace, and Flitzen acts as their data processor. We process that content only to deliver the service and on your employer's instructions.

For your individual account credentials and the technical logs we keep to run the platform securely, Flitzen is the controller.

2. Information we collect

CategoryWhat it includesWhy we collect it
Account details Full name, work email address, mobile number, hashed password, profile photo if you upload one To create your account, authenticate you, and let colleagues identify you
Workspace content Tables, columns, records, folders, tasks, comments, attachments and generated PDF reports that you or your colleagues create This is the substance of the service — we store it so your team can use it
Membership data Which business workspace you belong to, your role, and which tables you may access To enforce permissions and show you only what you are entitled to see
Technical logs IP address, browser or device type, timestamps, API request logs, and error traces Security, abuse prevention, debugging and audit trails
Notification settings Your WhatsApp-capable mobile number, email address, device push token, and your delivery preferences To send you the workspace notifications described in section 4

We do not collect payment card details, government identifiers, precise location, biometric data, or any special-category personal data.

3. How we use information

  • To operate Work Adda — storing your workspace data and making it available to authorised colleagues.
  • To authenticate you and keep your account secure, including detecting suspicious sign-in activity.
  • To send transactional notifications about activity in your own workspace (see section 4).
  • To provide support when you or your workspace administrator contact us.
  • To diagnose faults, monitor reliability, and improve the product.
  • To meet legal, tax and regulatory obligations.

We do not use your data for advertising, we do not sell or rent it, and we do not build profiles of you for third parties.

4. WhatsApp and other notifications

This section describes exactly how Work Adda uses WhatsApp, because we know it matters.

Who receives WhatsApp messages

WhatsApp messages from Work Adda are sent only to employees and authorised members of a business that subscribes to Work Adda. A person receives a message only if a workspace administrator at their own employer has added them to that workspace and recorded their mobile number. We never send WhatsApp messages to purchased, scraped, rented or otherwise externally sourced phone numbers, and we never send marketing or promotional messages over WhatsApp.

How consent is obtained

Consent is collected in two layers:

  • At the employer level — the subscribing business confirms, when it creates its workspace, that it has the authority and the consent of its staff to add them and to notify them on their work mobile numbers.
  • At the individual level — when you are added to a workspace you receive an invitation, and you must sign in and set a password to activate your account. Your notification preferences, including WhatsApp, are shown in Settings and can be changed by you at any time.

What the messages contain

These are operational, transactional notifications about your own workspace — for example, that rows in a table you follow have been updated, that a task has been assigned to you, that a report you requested is ready, or that a record needs your approval. They may include the name of the table, a short summary of what changed, a generated PDF of your own workspace data, and a link that opens that item in Work Adda. They never contain offers, advertising, or content about any other business.

How to stop them

You can stop WhatsApp notifications at any time by any of the following:

  • Replying STOP to any WhatsApp message we send you.
  • Turning WhatsApp off under Settings → Notifications in the app or on the web.
  • Asking your workspace administrator to remove your number.
  • Emailing workaddaappflitzen@gmail.com.

Opting out of WhatsApp does not affect your access to Work Adda; you will simply receive notifications by email or in-app instead. We honour opt-out requests immediately and permanently, and we maintain a blocked-number list so an opted-out number is not messaged again.

We also send notifications by email and by in-app push on the same basis. Messages sent through WhatsApp are delivered under the WhatsApp Business Messaging Policy and the WhatsApp Business Commerce Policy.

5. Who we share information with

We share data only with service providers that help us run Work Adda, and only to the extent they need it. Each is bound by contract to protect it and may not use it for their own purposes.

ProviderPurposeData shared
WhatsApp / Meta PlatformsThe WhatsApp Business Platform that carries the messageRecipient mobile number and the message content
BrevoTransactional email deliveryRecipient email address and the message content
Google FirebaseMobile push notifications and sign-inDevice push token and account identifier
Our hosting providerServers, storage and backupsAll service data, encrypted in transit

We may also disclose information if we are legally required to, or where necessary to establish or defend legal claims, or to protect the safety of users.

We do not transfer your data to any other third party, and we do not sell it under any circumstances.

6. Where data is stored and for how long

Workspace data is stored on servers located in India. Where a provider named above processes data outside India, that transfer is covered by appropriate contractual safeguards.

  • Workspace content is retained while your employer's workspace is active. Deleted items go to Trash and are permanently removed after 30 days.
  • Account records are retained while your account is active and for up to 12 months afterwards, then deleted or anonymised.
  • Technical and delivery logs are retained for up to 12 months.
  • Opt-out records are retained indefinitely, because we must remember not to contact you again.

7. How we protect data

  • All traffic to work-adda.com and our APIs is encrypted with HTTPS/TLS.
  • Passwords are stored only as salted one-way hashes — we cannot read them.
  • API access requires a per-workspace access token, and every request is logged.
  • Access to production systems is restricted to named administrators using key-based authentication.
  • Backups are taken regularly and access to them is restricted.

No system is perfectly secure, but if a breach affects your personal data we will notify you and the relevant authority as required by law.

8. Your rights

You may ask us to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you, or receive a copy of it.
  • Correct anything inaccurate — most account details you can edit yourself in Settings.
  • Delete your account and associated personal data.
  • Object to or restrict a particular use, including all notifications.
  • Withdraw consent to WhatsApp messaging, as described in section 4.

Write to workaddaappflitzen@gmail.com and we will respond within 30 days. Because your employer controls your workspace content, requests about that content may need to be directed to them, and we will tell you if that is the case.

9. Children

Work Adda is a workplace tool intended for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has an account, contact us and we will remove it.

10. Cookies

We use a single essential session cookie to keep you signed in and a CSRF token cookie to protect forms from cross-site request forgery. We do not use advertising, analytics or third-party tracking cookies. Blocking the session cookie will prevent you from signing in.

11. Changes to this policy

If we make a material change we will update the effective date above and notify workspace administrators by email before the change takes effect. Continued use after that date means you accept the updated policy.
